3 Updating ﬁ rmware

3-1 How to update

Updates using a Web browser

(1) Copy the firmware archive file to a PC accessible by the MediaEdge-

STB3.

(2) Use a Web browser to access the MediaEdge-STB3 Setup page.

(3) Select [Firmware update] and start the update.

(4) Once the update completes, the MediaEdge-STB3 will automatically

restart.

Possible reasons for failed updates:

- The ﬁ le is invalid.

- The version has already been applied.

(If [Disable version check] on the "Firmware Update" of the "MediaEdge-

STB3 Setup page" is checked, the firmware is updated regardless of the

current version.)

Warning:

Please do not play content or perform remote controller operations while the ﬁ rmware

update is in progress.

Warning:

Please do not turn off the MediaEdge-STB3 while the ﬁ rmware update is in progress.
